Dear {!firstname}: Welcome to the Get Clients Online Ezine by Donna Gunter and OnlineBizU.com

The Best-Laid Plans.....
I wrote last week's article early in the week last week about my participation in Sandra Martini's "Best Fall Ever Program." Unfortunately, despite my best laid plans, the day went to hell in hand basket pretty quickly. Last Wednesday Eric came home from work with heart-attack like symptoms, and so I rushed him to the ER. Fortunately, he had a severe leg infection rather than a heart attack, but we spent all day in the ER before that was determined. He was then admitted to the hospital where he was on a steady diet of IV drip antibiotics. On Saturday he was released and is doing much better, although he still has difficulty walking and is off work for at least two weeks. I'm enjoying the opportunity to actually spend time with him, but it's a sad state of affairs that the only way he can get a day off work is via short-term disability...:)
Needless to say, this unexpected event threw a monkey wrench into my plans, and now I'm trying to find another day to devote to listening to the recordings of the virtual retreat day that I missed. One day, perhaps, I'll actually catch up on everything..LOL
To Your Online Success!

{!firstname}, Pricing Strategies: How Much Do I Charge for My Service? by Donna Gunter, The Internet Marketing for Introverts Coach (TM)
"I'm not sure what to charge my clients" is one of the most common refrains I hear from new online service business owners.. It's a problem that plagues even the veteran business owner as she becomes more aware of her competition and what monetary value her skills hold in the marketplace.
How do you decide how much you're going to charge? Here's the bottom line -- you have to charge enough to be able to sustain yourself in business. Make sure that you're a "true" business owner netting a decent take-home pay each month without depending on savings, another job, or a spouse's income to make ends meet. This rate easily enables you to pay for your overhead and business expenses, ongoing professional training and development, and benefits you had while working for someone else -- things like vacation time, health insurance, life and disability insurance, for starters. And remember, you'll need to factor in what you'll pay in self-employment taxes and state income tax (as applicable) and pay those as scheduled to prevent the tax man from knocking at your door.

Gist
Ever feel like you have more connections that you can manage? If you count all of your social networking connections, along with your business Rolodex, and others that you email regularly via Gmail or Yahoo mail, the notion of bundling all of these contacts together feels overwhelming, if not impossible.
Then I discovered Gist. Gist helps build stronger relationships by connecting your email inbox to the web to provide business-critical information about the people and companies that matter most to you and your business. While social networks can be an excellent tool to connect with people you might never otherwise meet, getting all that information together in one place has been difficult. Gist helps you unify all of that information in one place in their interface.
When you sign up for a free account, you are invited to import your connections from many platforms, including Outlook, Gmail, IMAP email systems, Linkedin, Salesforce, Facebook, Twitter, and even CSV imports. Once your import is completed, you can easily find contacts via your search feature at the top of your interface. When looking at a contact, you see a "What's New" box in the left column under their contact details. On the right side, it shows the results of a Google Search for the contact name.
Gist creates a dossier of each contact and gathers a summary of recent activities where your contact is featured or mentioned, including News About Contact, Posts & Tweets from Contact, Emails between you and Contact, and lastly Links and Attachments. This summary windows has a print button in the lower right as well.
If you choose to plug your email into the system, you'll discover many useful pieces of information presented related to email exchanges you've had, as well as calendar items. When I looked at an individual contact, it showed me recent correspondences, and even called out links shared in those emails.
You have the ability to merge duplicates of contacts (very handy!), and I love the fact that when I exported my Outlook contacts to Gist, all of my notes exported as well. Essentially, now I have an online contact database with all the info I need at my fingertips.
Unfortunately, the program doesn't actually sync with your social media profiles. This means if you get more Facebook friends, you need to re-import them. For Linkedin connections you actually have to export from Linkedin, and then import as a CSV file. For Twitter integration, currently it only imports up to 1000 of the people you follow.
Merge all of your connections with your free account here.

"Donna helps you create a truly effective marketing program tailored specifically for your online service business."
I don't write many testimonials. Of the ones I've written, this one -- for Donna Gunter's coaching services -- is by far the easiest, and the one about which I can be the most enthusiastic.
You can read books on how to market your website business (I've read several). You can read newsletters and articles (I've read a ton of them). All this information is very helpful as background information. However, all the books, newsletters, and articles in the world will fall short of taking you where you need to be. This is because they lack the essential ingredients of focus and follow-through… leaving you better informed generally, but essentially stuck in a trial and error rut.
You need Donna's hands on approach -- focused on the unique requirements of your service business -- to tie together all the marketing elements into a truly effective marketing program tailored specifically for your business. And you need Donna's expert guidance along the way as you execute this program.
We enthusiastically recommend Donna's expert advice and guidance. She takes a sincere interest in your success. Adding Donna to your team will be the best decision you'll ever make for the success of your website business.
